Orlando Bloom is now locked in while British comedian James Corden (“The History Boys,” “Doctor Who”) has joined the cast of Paul W.S. Anderson’s “The Three Musketeers” for Constantin Film, Impact Pictures and Summit Entertainment says The Press Association.
This 3D adaptation of Dumas’ 1844 book follows the same story of d’Artagnan (Logan Lerman), a young man who leaves home to become a member of the fighting force of the French king’s royal household.
Along the way, he makes friends with three of the force’s best – and most disgraced – members: Athos (Luke Evans), Porthos (Ray Stevenson) and Aramis (Matthew Macfadyen), whose creed of friendship is “All for one and one for all!”
Bloom will play the Duke of Buckingham while Corden will play the servant Planchet. Christoph Waltz, Milla Jovovich and Mads Mikkelsen also star.
Robert Kulzer, Jeremy Bolt and Anderson will produce this adaptation penned by Andrew Davies and Alex Litvak. Shooting on this version kicks off in August for release next Summer.
