FOX has handed out an early second season renewal for its animated comedy series “Bless the Harts” after just three episodes of the new series have aired.
This marks the first second season renewal of a new show in the Fall season. The animated comedy hails from creator Emily Spivey and follows a single mother supporting her family working as a waitress in North Carolina.
Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, Jillian Bell, Ike Barinholtz, and Kumail Nanjiani lend their voices. Spivey wrote the pilot for the series and serves as co-showrunner alongside Andy Bobr.
That’s not the only early renewal order handed out today as Disney+ has picked up “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series,” the order coming almost a month ahead of the show’s first season premiere next month.
The ten-episode series follows the East High drama club as they work their way to the opening night of their school’s first-ever production of “High School Musical”. The second season will begin production early next year.
