Bleecker Street and Participant Media have nabbed North American rights to Andy Serkis’ inspirational true-life medical drama “Breathe”.
Andrew Garfield stars as Robin Cavendish, a man who is paralyzed from the neck down by polio. Claire Foy (“Wolf Hall”) plays his devoted wife. Instead of yielding to the devastating diagnosis, the pair travel the world together, campaigning for people with disabilities.
Hugh Bonneville (“Downtown Abbey”) and Tom Hollander (“The Night Manager”) will co-star in the film which includes writer William Nicholson (“Shadowlands”) and cinematographer Robert Richardson (“JFK,” “Hugo”)
Garfield has been earning raves this past week or so for his work in the World War II drama “Hacksaw Ridge.”
