“Blazing Saddles,” “Willy Wonka” Get Re-Released

In the wake of the death of legendary comic actor Gene Wilder, exhibitors and Warner Bros. Pictures have teamed up for a limited re-release this weekend of the 1974 Mel Brooks comedy “Blazing Saddles” and the 1971 family film “Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory”.

Both films starred Wilder in iconic roles. “Willy Wonka” will screen at 200 locations, “Blazing Saddles” will take place on a further 60 screens across several chains this weekend.

AMC will be playing both titles as a double feature at 55 of its U.S. venues on Saturday and Sunday night.
