Paramount Pictures, Global Road and producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli have temporarily halted production on the spy thriller “The Rhythm Section” after its star, actress Blake Lively, injured her hand.
An adaptation of the first of Mark Burnell’s Stephanie Patrick novels, the story follows a woman (Lively) that seeks to uncover the truth behind a plane crash that killed her family — a flight that she was meant to be on. Jude Law co-stars.
Lively’s injury reportedly took place during an action sequence, and though believed to be somewhat serious with one report suggesting at least one broken finger, the halt is expected to be fairly short. The project has been filming in Dublin under the direction of Reed Morano (“The Handmaid’s Tale”). The film opens February 22nd 2019.
