Black Swan Dominates The Spirits

Darren Aronofsky’s “Black Swan” swept the Independent Spirit Awards last night, picking up four statuettes including best feature, actress, director and cinematography.

“Winter’s Bone”, which had the most nominations going in with seven, took away supporting actor awards for John Hawkes and Dale Dickey.

James Franco’s performance in “127 Hours” scored the best actor nod while “The Kids Are All Right” won best screenplay.

Oscars frontrunner “The King’s Speech” was named best foreign film because, as a British movie, it was not eligible for consideration in the major categories.
