Billy Crudup Is Henry Allen In “Flash” Film

Billy Crudup (“Spotlight,” “Watchmen”) is set to play the father of Ezra Miller’s Barry Allen in Rick Famuyiwa’s upcoming “The Flash” film at Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Films.

In both the comics and The CW TV series adaptation currently on the air, Dr. Henry Allen is framed for the murder of his wife Nora by the time-traveling villain Reverse-Flash. John Wesley Shipp, who played The Flash on TV in the 1990s, plays Henry Allen in The CW series.

Also onboard are Kiersey Clemons as Iris West and Ray Fisher as Cyborg. Miller and Crudup previously worked together on last year’s “The Stanford Prison Experiment”. Phil Lord and Chris Miller penned the script treatment for the project which opens in 2018.
