Former “Doctor Who” star Billie Piper has revealed to The Sun that a film version of her sexy British series “Secret Diary Of A Call Girl” may be in the works.
The 27-year-old is currently working on a fourth and final series for ITV2 and mentioned in an interview this week that “I’m about to start filming the fourth series and then that will be it. I’m not sure it has legs past four seasons so we’re trying to develop a movie.”
The series, based on the books and blog of real-life escort Belle de Jour, has become a modest hit not just in the UK but in the US as well via Showtime.
Piper plays a seemingly normal London woman who lives a secret life as a call girl. The story covers the complications that ensue when her professional and private lives collide. Guest stars have included the likes of Callum Blue (“Smallville”), James D’Arcy (“Master and Commander”), Matt Smith (“Doctor Who”), Colin Salmon (“Resident Evil”), Matt Rippy (“Beyond the Sea”) and Leon Ockenden (“Heavy Rain: PS3”).
