Bill Nighy Up For “I, Frankenstein”

Bill Nighy (“Pirates of the Caribbean,” “Underworld”) is in negotiations to play the villain in Stuart Beattie’s “I, Frankenstein” for Lakeshore Entertainment, Hopscotch Features and Lionsgate says Variety.

Based on the graphic novel by Kevin Grevioux, Aaron Eckhart plays Frankenstein’s monster who is being hunted by demons that want to learn the secret of his creation in order to build an army of reanimated corpse demons.

Nighy is in talks to play a demon prince. Socratis Otto (“Home and Away,” “Gone”) has also joined the cast as his compatriot who is tasked with tracking down and capturing Adam.

Tom Rosenberg, Gary Lucchesi, Richard Wright and Andrew Mason will produce. Shooting kicks off in January in Australia.
