Bigelow’s “Triple Frontier” Shoots Next Year

Oscar-winning “The Hurt Locker” director Kathryn Bigelow will shoot her next feature film project “Triple Frontier” next year in the troubled region reports The Playlist.

Argentinean press have linked Sean Penn, Javier Bardem and Denzel Washington for roles in the high-stakes ensemble project set in the notorious border zone between Paraguay, Argentina and Brazil where the Igazu and Parana rivers converge. The area has proven a haven for organized crime and terrorist funding activities.

However that trio is thought to be mere speculation based on a piece from The New York Times of actors who recently met with ‘Locker’ scribe Mark Boal about future projects. One of those projects of Boal’s is ‘Frontier’.

Charles Roven, Alex Gartner and Steve Alexander are set to produce the project for Paramount Pictures and Atlas Entertainment.
