“Beyond,” “Fosters” Renewed At Freeform

Freeform, formerly known as ABC Family, has renewed “The Fosters” for a fifth season and its new series “Beyond” for a second season. The renewals were announced during the network’s TCA Winter Tour presentation.

“Beyond” launched on January 2nd with the entire series made available for binge-viewing across key digital platforms with reduced ad loads.

As a result, in its first week alone, “Beyond” has already amassed over 14 million views, including 7 million across digital platforms and a further 7.2 million total viewers on linear TV.

The network has also given a twelve-episode series order to Cosmopolitan magazine drama “The Bold Type”. Previously developed at NBC, the series by the life of Hearst Magazine CCO and former Cosmo Editor-in-Chief Joanna Coles.

The series offers a glimpse into the outrageous lives and loves of those responsible for a global women’s magazine called Scarlet. This group of women lean on one another as they find their own voices in a sea of intimidating leaders.
