Beyonce Speaks In New Lion King Tv Spot

Disney has released the first glimpse of Beyonce Knowles-Carter offering voice work as Nala in a new extended TV spot for the live-action adaptation of “The Lion King” opening in July.

Donald Glover stars as future king Simba, James Earl Jones reprising his role of wise and loving father Mufasa, Chiwetel Ejiofor is Simba’s villainous uncle Scar, Alfre Woodard as Simba’s no-nonsense mother Sarabi, JD McCrary as Young Simba, Shahadi Wright Joseph as Young Nala, John Kani as the wise baboon Rafiki, John Oliver as hornbill confidant Zazu, Seth Rogen as naive warthog Pumbaa, and Billy Eichner as know-it-all meerkat Timon.

The film also stars Florence Kasumba as Shenzi, Eric Andre is Azizi, and Keegan-Michael Key as Kamari. Jon Favreau helms “The Lion King” which opens in cinemas on July 19th.
