AMC’s “Breaking Bad” spin-off “Better Call Saul” has not only emerged as a critical favorite this year, it has also earned a popularity honor – the highest-rated new cable series of the broadcast season.
For the season and in Live+3 estimates, “Saul” has averaged 5.9 million viewers. This includes 3.7 million adults 18-49 and 3.6 million adults 25-54. The series has also generated more than 4.4 million TVE streams on AMC.com and nearly 11.5 million VOD transactions.
The series debuted to a record 6.9 million night-of viewers following its premiere behind an episode of “The Walking Dead”. Shifting to Mondays, it understandably lost a part of that viewership in the second episode but has performed consistently ever since with the season finale last week nabbing 5.1 million viewers.
