Berlanti To Direct “Little Shop of Horrors” Remake

Warner Bros. Pictures is moving forward with a remake of the musical classic “Little Shop Of Horrors” with “The Flash” producer Greg Berlanti set to direct from a script by Matthew Robinson.

Inspired by the Frank Oz-directed 1986 adaptation of the off-Broadway stage musical, itself was based on the Roger Corman-directed 1960 low-budget sci-fi campy film, the story follows an awkward young man who raises an alien plant, discovers it is carnivorous, and kills to keep it fed.

Marc Platt is producing. Berlanti has previously helmed “Life As We Know It” and “The Broken Hearts Club” and remains attached to helm the “booster Gold” movie whenever it goes forward.
