Ben Daniels (“The Exorcist,” “House of Cards”) has joined the cast of the third season of Netflix’s “The Crown” in the role of Princess Margaret’s husband Antony Armstrong-Jones (aka. Lord Snowdon).
Daniels takes over the role played by Matthew Goode in the second season which chronicles the reign of Queen Elizabeth II. Margaret and Armstrong-Jones were married in 1960 and divorced in 1978.
The third season will cover the period of 1964 through the early 1970s with Olivia Colman replacing Claire Foy in the role of Queen Elizabeth. Helena Bonham Carter will take over the Princess Margaret role from Vanessa Kirby.
“The Crown” S3 is expected to premiere in 2019.
