Bell Confirms Hulus Veronica Mars Revival

Actress Kristen Bell has confirmed on social media that she will reprise her iconic role of Veronica Mars for an eight-episode revival of the series for Hulu which has been commissioned and will air in 2019.

Rumored several weeks ago, creator Rob Thomas and Warner Bros. Television are working on the new “Veronica Mars” series which follows on from the 2004-2007 original and the partly crowdfunded 2014 feature film.

That original series, which is now available in full to stream on Hulu, followed a teenager turned private detective who set out to solve her best friend’s murder in the first season. The new series will deal with one mystery – a serial killer who is threatening Neptune’s tourism industry by targeting spring breakers – and will adopt a “hardcore So-Cal noir” tone.

Jason Dohring, Enrico Colantoni, Percy Daggs III, Tessa Thompson, Francis Capra, Ryan Hansen, Teddy Dunn, Michael Muhney, Max Greenfield, Leighton Meester and Tina Majorino co-starred and it’s not clear how many will return.
