Becker Uncovers The Missing Link

Disney has tapped “Wild Hogs” helmer Walt Becker to direct “Link,” an action adventure comedy based on a Becker novel published in 1998 reports Variety.

The director and the producers will find a writer to adapt the novel, which concerns a paleontologist and maverick scientist who go in search of the missing link.

Becker is scouting his next film, “Old Dogs,” with Robin Williams in negotiations to join John Travolta. After that, Becker hopes to tackle “Link.”

Disney is also pursuing a sequel to “Wild Hogs” with Becker; stars Travolta, Tim Allen, Martin Lawrence and William H. Macy are all working on deals to return.

Brad Copeland, who wrote the original, is penning the sequel.
