Anyone who grew up in the 1990s will remember Mike Judge’s “Beavis and Butt-Head” animated series. The juvenile, snickering Albuquerque teenagers scored a big fanbase for their idiocy and satire across two hundred episodes and a feature film.
The property was retired by Judge following a self-described ‘creative burn-out’ and hasn’t been seen in years aside from a brief 2011 revival. Now though, in a recent interview with Radio Times, Judge revealed that he has an interesting concept for potential future revival: a live-action show.
Judge, who has had great success recently with “Silicon Valley” on HBO, says he has no idea who could play the titular pair but does suggest that the project could take place at a different stage in the lives of the characters. He also suggests that at this point, Beavis is likely homeless.
