Beal Sells “Xombie” Cop To Dreamworks

Former cop Will Beall is in negotiations to sell his zombie policeman script “Xombie” to Dreamworks Pictures says The Hollywood Reporter.

Based on James Farr’s comic book series, itself based on his own online animated series, the story centers on a zombie cop named Dirge who attempts to saves humanity’s remnants, particularly a young girl named Zoe, from evil zombies.

Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci (“Transformers,” “Star Trek”) are in talks to produce.

Beall is also adapting his debut novel “L.A. Rex” for producer Scott Rudin.
