BBC Reel Teases “Sherlock,” “Luther” & More

The BBC has released a three-minute sizzle reel for the numerous drama and comedy series, mini-series, documentaries and reality series they’re set to premiere over the next few months.

The reel includes a bunch of first look footage including first glimpses at returnees like the “Sherlock” Victorian-era Christmas special and the new “Luther” two-part mini-series along with the returns of comedian Tracey Ullman, the already back “Doctor Who” and comedy series “The Kennedys”.

On the new series front there’s the Tom Hiddleston and Hugh Laurie-led adaptation of John Le Carre’s “The Night Manager,” the lavish fantasy series “Dickensian,” the Stellan Skarsgard and Nicola Walker-led crime drama “River,” the young cops action drama “Cuffs,” the gritty mystery “From Darkness,” and an adaptation of John Lanchester’s novel “Capital”.

There’s also two major mini-series including a new adaptation of Agatha Christie’s most famous story “And Then There Were None” with Charles Dance, Sam Neill, Toby Stephens, Miranda Richardson and Aidan Turner; and a lavish new take on Tolstoy’s “War and Peace” with Paul Dano, James Norton, Gillian Anderson, Lily James, Jim Broadbent and many more.

Documentary stalwarts like Brian Cox and David Attenborough also pop up in the clip which you can see below.
