Warner Bros. Pictures has pushed back production on Zack Snyder’s “Batman vs. Superman” project to the second quarter of this year.
As a result, the original release date of July 17th 2015 is no longer viable. Instead, the studio is targeting a May 6th 2016 release.
Warners’ Peter Pan origin story “Pan” is now is being inserted into the July 17th 2015 weekend instead.
Despite the delay, pre-production continues apace with Henry Cavill set to star alongside Ben Affleck and Gal Gadot.
The reason for the delay is unclear, though Batman News indicates one contributing factor is that it sounds like Ben Affleck has sustained a leg injury which has put him out of action for six weeks.
