Several months ago came a rumor that the first teaser trailer for Zack Snyder’s “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” would be attached to the Wachowski’s “Jupiter Ascending”. It seemed hard to believe at the time – a film being teased over a year out from release and attached to a film that wasn’t expected to be a big opener.
This week though comes a new one from Collider – that the first trailer will make its debut with copies of “Mad Max: Fury Road” which gets a worldwide release in mid-May.
As a rumour this has much more believability. ‘Max’ is easily the biggest film of the Summer for the studio, if not the year, while films teased ten months out are rare but not unheard of.
It will also be several weeks after the release of “Avengers: Age of Ultron” and the buzz surrounding the next “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” trailer which is said to be on copies of ‘Ultron’.
The Playlist adds that Junkie XL and Hans Zimmer will be teaming up to co-compose new music specifically for the trailer. Both composers are scoring the full film.
In other rumors regarding the film, El Mayimbe has talked about the relation of “Suicide Squad” to “Dawn of Justice,” specifically the timing of the events in each.
POTENTIAL MINOR SPOILERS AHEAD
The report claims that the “Suicide Squad” film will be set AFTER the events of “Man of Steel” but before those of “Dawn of Justice”. This would explain the rumours that Batman in the ‘Squad’ film is still seen as only a Boogeyman by the Government and Jared Leto’s The Joker is the only person to have had one-on-one dealings with him.
