Warner Bros. Home Entertainment, Warner Bros. Animation and DC Entertainment have revealed the first clip from the upcoming animated feature “Batman: The Killing Joke” as part of the latest episode of DC All Access. Jump to the 3:56 mark for the clip which showcases the opening scene of the famed Alan Moore comic one-off.
“Batman: The Killing Joke”will get a one night only screening in select cinemas around the world including Australia and the United States on July 24th and 25th respectively. The film will be available to buy on Digital HD from July 23rd and digitally rent and/or purchase on DVD and Blu-ray on August 2nd.
That isn’t the only treat though. Emil Ryderup of Plan Making Mammals has taken the previous trailer releases for the film and done some tweaking to the color palette to make it more reminiscent of the aesthetic that Brian Bolland and John Higgins used in Moore’s original graphic novel. There’s even a comparison trailer comparing the original artwork, this altered clip and the final film.
