Following his starring role in Zack Snyder’s “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” Ben Affleck’s take on Batman takes a backseat in the upcoming David Ayer “Suicide Squad” film – the character set to have a supporting part in the film of which the specifics are unknown.
We do know he participates in a car chase sequence with the Joker (Jared Leto) and Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), there’s a scene of him diving into the ocean, and that by the time the events of ‘Squad’ roles around he’s had a history with pretty much all the major villains featured – essentially being the one that sent them all to prison.
Now, a new report at Batman News indicates that we’ll only see him interact with Deadshot, Harley Quinn and The Joker during the actual story. The site says he’ll share two scenes with Deadshot, one of which is described as ’emotional’ and the other is a flashback. The Harley scenes will involve him rescuing her after her and Joker’s car crashes into the water. Specifics of the Joker scenes are unclear.
Warner Bros. Pictures confirmed recently that the suit of the slain Robin seen in ‘Dawn of Justice’ does indeed belong to Jason Todd. We’ll see the results of “Suicide Squad” ourselves when the film opens in August.
