It may have cancelled all its other dramas, but A&E is sticking by its “Psycho” prequel series “Bates Motel” and has given the show a two-season pickup.
‘Bates’ will get a fourth and fifth season of ten episodes each. The series pulled in 2.1 million viewers in Live+same day for this year’s third season premiere.
The show’s companion series, the remake of the French supernatural drama “The Returned,” will NOT be returning and has been cancelled.
A&E does have other dramas in the works though with “The Omen” sequel “Damien” expected to premiere shortly. Production on the fourth season of ‘Bates’ begins later this year for airing early 2016.
