Bassett To Direct 3D “Silent Hill” Sequel

“Solomon Kane” director Michael J. Bassett is set to write and direct “Silent Hill: Revelation 3D”, the upcoming 3D sequel to the 2006 film adaptation of the video game series reports Bloody Disgusting.

The story follows teenager Heather Mason and her father who have been on the run from dangerous forces that she doesn’t full understand.

Now on the eve of her 18th birthday, her father disappears and she is plagued by horrific nightmares which help her to discover she’s not who she thinks she is.

The revelation leads her deeper into a demonic world that threatens to trap her in Silent Hill forever.

A report yesterday indicated that scribe Roger Avary had penned the script, but now it seems he will no longer be involved.
