Alec Baldwin doesn’t appear to have much of a problem telling it like it is, especially about his own career choices.
Speaking at the American Magazine Media Conference in New York on Tuesday night, the Emmy winner and Oscar nominee is not a fan of the way that “movies have become so derivative” which is why audiences are often staying home.
This critical eye included his own missteps – namely last year’s film adaptation of the rock musical “Rock of Ages”.
Baldwin calls it a “horrible movie” and filming it “a miserable experience”. The actor says he was convinced to do it due to the cast and that he liked director Adam Shankman.
It didn’t take him long to realise “it was a complete disaster… A week in you go, ‘Oh God, what have I done?'”
