Bahrani To Helm “White Tiger” For Netflix

Netflix and “99 Homes” director Ramin Bahrani has set the Man Booker Prize-winning Aravind Adiga novel “The White Tiger” as Bahrani’s next feature effort.

The story focuses on the murderous rise of a Bangalore driver who climbs from the bottom of India’s caste society, rising through poverty and corruption, to become a chauffeur and successful businessman.

Mukul Deora is producing the film with the plan to begin shooting later this year in India. Bahrani recently wrapped an adaptation of the Ray Bradbury sci-fi novel classic “Fahrenheit 451” for HBO which stars Michael B. Jordan and Michael Shannon.
