The recent “Bad Boys” spin-off series “L.A.’s Finest” has already been renewed for a second season by Spectrum Originals. The show’s stars Gabrielle Union and Jessica Alba made the announcement Friday during the Monte Carlo Television Festival.
The series stars Union as Syd Burnett who is now an LAPD detective and paired with a new partner, Nancy McKenna (Alba), a working mom with an equally complex past.
Taking on the most dangerous criminals in Los Angeles, the pair become a force to be reckoned with on the streets, and in each other’s lives. Zach Gilford, Duane Martin, Ryan McPartlin, Sophie Reynolds and Ernie Hudson also star.
The first season premiered on May 13th and all thirteen episodes will be available for Spectrum’s subscribers from June 17th.
Alba and Union are executive producers alongside Brandon Margolis, Brandon Sonnier, Pam Veasey, Doug Belgrad, Jonathan Littman, KristieAnne Reed, Jeff Gaspin, Jeff Morrone and Anton Cropper.
