Reports from comScore and United Talent Agency analyzing trailer views and social conversation have revealed that Disney and Marvel Studios’ “Avengers: Infinity War” scored the most buzz of any movie spot airing during Sunday’s Superbowl LII.
Ranking films by trailer views and social conversation, “Avengers: Infinity War” easily came on top with 17.6 million Youtube & Facebook video views and around 279,700 social conversations. The runners-up were “Solo: A Star Wars Story” with 13.9 million views and 109,000 conversations, “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom” with 15.9 million views and 44,900 conversations, and “Mission: Impossible Fallout” with 14.6 million views and 53,100 social conversations.
The remaining three films – “Skyscraper,” “Red Sparrow” and “A Quiet Place” – barely made a dent comparatively. The report didn’t include analysis of the Super Bowl ad for The Cloverfield Paradox, the J.J. Abrams-produced film acquired from Paramount and unexpectedly launched immediately after the game.
