A surprising amount of talk about “The Avengers” franchise in the past week has revolved around one thing – Thanos’ ass.
Several fan-made clips of surprisingly good quality have popped up online in recent weeks to explore a darkly amusing theory which first popped up last year and has more recently taken on a life of its own as the ‘Thanus Meme’.
That theory? That Ant-Man could’ve easily killed Thanos by the tiny version jumping into his rectum and then expanding to giant size – exploding the Titan from within. Ant-Man actor Paul Rudd was asked about it during the “Ant-Man and the Wasp” junket last year and says he didn’t see that happening in the script bits from the films he got.
In response to the meme’s recent uptick, Josh Brolin has reposted a video of himself on the toilet from last year where he is trying to ‘flush Ant-Man’. As if that wasn’t enough, a piece of official promo art for “Avengers: Endgame” arrived this week that kept the focus on Avenger backsides.

Much of the speculation around the MCU is expected to soon shift to what’s next for the film series which has kept its future plans vague. One confirmed title is Chloe Zhao’s “The Eternals” with a rumor this week at MCU Cosmic indicating the fan favorite character Hercules will not only be that film’s lead but the MCU’s first openly gay character.
“Avengers: Endgame” opens April 26th while “Captain Marvel,” which should pass the $1 billion worldwide mark this weekend, is still in cinemas.
