Avengers’ Thanos Stands Tall On D23 Standee

With Disney’s D23 convention now underway in Anaheim, photos of the exhibit hall are popping up all over including some shots of the impressive standees on display.

One such one is “Avengers: Infinity War’ which sports a giant statue of the film’s villain – Thanos, the Mad Titan. There is a second figure in the display, but it is covered up and will not be revealed until after Marvel’s panel at the convention tomorrow.

Also on display are costumes from Taika Waititi’s “Thor: Ragnarok” and Ryan Coogler’s “Black Panther”. One thing either this panel or next week’s San Diego Comic Con panel is almost certain to show is the second trailer for “Thor: Ragnarok” with actor Mark Ruffalo tweeting earlier:

“Marvel Fans… I just saw a preview of what Marvel is showing at Comic-Con. You are about to get your mind blown! Best I’ve seen yet. Kaboom… Saw new Thor 3 trailer today. Amazing!!! Guess who wins in a fight between Thor and Hulk? There seems to be a little confusion. You’ll see.”

How much from “Black Panther” and “Avengers” will be shown is unclear at this point.
