“Avengers” Game Devs Tweaking After E3

Avengers Game Devs Tweaking After E3

Only a few of the game trailers at E3 seemed to get many excited this year, but one in particular drew almost the opposite reaction. Footage from Square Enix’s long in the works “Marvel’s Avengers” game was finally unveiled to the public after being teased for several years and the results were not good.

The trailer was heavily criticised for lacking any proper gameplay footage, while much of the criticism went towards the graphics and some of the character designs which were similar to the MCU in terms of costumes, wildly different in terms of faces and all looked rather dated and cheap.

The complaints have been heard though with Marvel Games Vic President and Creative Director Bill Roseman saying in an interview with GameSpot that they are listening to fan feedback and are still making changes before the game is released:

“We want to thank you for last night, for watching the trailer. Your energy was awesome! All the comments we’re hearing, we’re listening to them, we’re sharing them, we’re bringing them back to the studio, we’re listening to you.”

The game isn’t scheduled to be released for another year, giving the studio plenty of time to tweak the character models. You can watch the trailer again below:
