Filmmaker James Cameron confirms that filming is set to officially begin on the “Avatar” sequels next week with a September 25th start locked in.
The films have been delayed multiple times but now, after years or pre-production and prep, and months of rehearsals on the ‘virtual’ sets – it’s finally happening.
The announcement was made at a special ‘Terminator 2: Judgement Day” screening last night by Cameron – the same one where he revealed Linda Hamilton is returning to the “Terminator” franchise.
Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver, and Stephen Lang are returning and are being joined by Oona Chaplin and Cliff Curtis in the film with the first slated to open December 2020.
