Avan Jogia (“Victorious,” “Now Apocalypse”) has scored a key role in the upcoming sequel to the horror-comedy “Zombieland” at Sony Pictures. Production is scheduled to begin in January 2019.
Jogia is set to portray the role of Berkeley, described as the classic bad boy musician that you would hate for your daughter to fall in love with.
The original followed four strangers who meet on the road in the middle of the zombie apocalypse and, while initially at each other’s throats, they soon come to bond with each other and form a close-bonded group.
Director Ruben Fleischer and writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick return for the new entry which also includes returning stars Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone and Abigail Breslin as the main four.
Zoey Deutch also stars in the film opening in October next year.
