“Selma” director Ava DuVernay has dropped out of the sci-fi drama “Intelligent Life” at DreamWorks
“Jurassic World” scribes Colin Trevorrow and Derek Connolly penned the script which centers on a United Nations employee who monitors outer space and makes contact with a beautiful woman (Lupita Nyong’o) who may be an alien.
DuVernay joined the project in February but has now dropped out over scheduling conflicts. Nyong’o remains attached to star while Trevorrow and Frank Marshall will produce.
DuVernay is currently working on the OWN series “Queen Sugar” and is attached to Disney’s adaptation of Madeleine L’Engle’s classic novel “A Wrinkle in Time”.
