Atlantis Picked Up, Baldwin’s Show Axed

BBC America has picked up the previously announced second season of fantasy co-production “Atlantis” just days after the first season premiered in the United States.

In the U.K., the show has been the biggest Saturday night drama to launch on the BBC since 2006. The network ordered a second season of the drama back in late October.

Meanwhile, MSNBC has pulled the plug on Alec Baldwin’s talkshow “Up Late” in the wake of a homophobic slur scandal earlier in November.

The network and Baldwin’s rep Matthew Hiltzik issued the statement: “We are jointly confirming that Up Late will not continue on MSNBC”.
