Assassins Creed Odyssey Is Selling Big

The launch of Ubisoft’s “Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey” nearly two weeks ago has been a roaring success according to stats released by IGN.

The outlet reports that the ten-day launch period of the new game has out-performed the three previous titles in the series that came out during the current generation of gaming (specifically the AC games Unity, Syndicate & Origins).

However, it’s not hit the heights of the overall series at this point. That belongs to “Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag” which remains one of Ubisoft’s all-time best selling games. Critical acclaim wise, “Assassin’s Creed II,” ‘Black Flag,’ ‘Odyssey’ and ‘Origins’ sit the highest of the series.

The new game is a departure from the traditional stealth-assassin style of the previous titles. Ubisoft will be taking a break from another entry in the franchise in 2019 and sticking with developing more content for ‘Odyssey’ in the near future.
