“Assassin’s Creed” Film Planned As A Trilogy

20th Century Fox may be hoping to launch a potential trilogy with Justin Kurzel’s upcoming “Assassin’s Creed” film if its star Michael Fassbender is correct.

Speaking with Cinema Blend this week, he was asked if there was any further plans for his character of Callum Lynch and said character’s ancestor Aguilar de Nerha. He replied:

“This is the sort of origin of his story. We have an idea of where he’s going to go over the next two films. We kind of did a three-film arc. We’ll wait and see how people respond to this, but for sure, we have an idea of where he’s going to go next.”

Fassbender not only stars but produces the film and was said to be the one who managed to enlist director Justin Kurzel and co-star Marion Cotillard to join the feature. “Assassin’s Creed” hits cinemas on Friday.
