“Artist” Director Joins Animated “Jules Verne”

Oscar-winning “The Artist” filmmaker Michel Hazanavicius has joined the family 3D CG-animated feature “Little Jules Verne,” helping to pen the script and polish the dialogue for the project which will be directed by Regis Vidal and Didier Ah-Koon.

The original script was penned by Anne and Gerard Guero (aka. Ange) and Pierre-Gilles Stehr. Hazanavicius has now adapted the script and worked on dialogue, coming aboard the project as a co-author later down the production line.

Enormous Pictures is producing the project dubbed a reimagining of the youth of the prolific French novelist, poet and playwright Jules Verne and his inspirations in 19th century Europe. The project marks the first Hazanavicius has worked on which he is not also directing.
