With four episodes left to go in the current fourth season, The CW’s “Arrow” is already looking forward with casting details today for a role that will serve as the key villain in the fifth season.
TV Line reports that the character, currently going by the code name ‘James’, will be an “irrepressibly charming contemporary of Oliver Queen and a man on a mission to avenge a tragic, violent loss from his past.”
The CW is reportedly looking for an actor of any ethnicity who is in his late 20s/early 30s and can come across as a convincing physical threat – someone who can: “just as easily shake your hand as your best friend or break your neck as your worst enemy – and you never know which one is coming. Either way, he’s more than capable of having a good time as he does it.”
Whomever is cast will be a new series regular, joining Echo Kellum whose character of Curtis Holt will also become a regular next season.
