Arrow: Lantern, Crossover & Bandit Talk

One of the bedrock elements of The CW’s “Arrow” is David Ramsey as John Diggle. In a new interview with ComicBook.com, the actor was asked about rumors that the character will become the John Stewart incarnation of Green Lantern. He says:

“Is John Diggle John Stewart? I cannot say ‘yes’ and cannot say ‘no’. If that’s the case, it’s gonna be huge. This is the stuff they want to avoid. I think they don’t want anybody to know yet and they haven’t even told me.

They have told me that they are thinking about it and they are considering it. Greg Berlanti told me that. Andrew [Kreisberg] and Marc [Guggenheim] have told me that. I haven’t spoken to Geoff Johns about it, yet. But that’s the word from people directly involved in Arrow – that they’re working on something.”

Series star Stephen Amell was recently asked about the possibilities of the show crossing over with other DC comics shows like CBS’ upcoming “Supergirl,” NBC’s “Constantine” and FOX’s “Gotham”. Amell says:

“It would be interesting to cross over with Constantine, only because he knows a lot about the Lazarus Pit, which is something that we’ve introduced in the show this year.

It would be cool to crossover with Supergirl because it’s something with Greg Berlanti, who’s the helmer and sort of the brain trust or the center of the brain trust of Arrow and The Flash and I know so many of the people that are involved in the production of that show so that would be really interesting.

Gotham would be a tough one, just because I think they’re out in a different time but the crossover with The Flash was so much fun and did so well that I can’t imagine a world — a universe, no pun intended — where that didn’t happen and continue to happen all the time.”

In related news, “The Walking Dead” star Emily Kinney has reportedly joined the cast of The CW’s “The Flash” as Brie Larvan (aka. Bug-Eyed Bandit) according to Punkd Images. The villain actually comes from The Atom comics and was created in 1966.
