Mark Wahlberg’s upcoming schedule is looking a lot clearer with Darren Aronofsky’s boxing movie “The Fighter” now looking to have hit some major snags according to both Wahlberg and Aronofsky themselves.
Out doing press for this week’s “Max Payne”, Wahlberg says he’s been in training every morning for two years to play the role of Irish” Mickey Ward in the project, but various things are still holding it up.
Aronofsky indicated last month that both financing and casting weren’t finalized and thus it wouldn’t be filming anytime soon. Now, in attendance at the New York Film Festival, he tells The Playlist that Brad Pitt is out of the project. Pitt was to play Dicky Ekland, the trainer and brother of Mickey.
