An edgy re-telling of the Noah’s Ark story is set to be the next directorial effort of “Black Swan” and “Requiem for a Dream” helmer Darren Aronofsky says Deadline.
Paramount, Fox and Summit are all apparently circling the fantasy epic, described as “a gritty, down-and-dirty” take on the Biblical story of the man who saved all the animals of the world from an apocalyptic flood.
The project has a budget around $130 million. Aronofsky penned the script which is getting a rewrite by John Logan.
