Aronofsky Puts “Wolverine” Sequel In Front

Darren Aronofsky has apparently passed on an offer to direct “Tales from the Gangster Squad” at Warner Bros. Pictures reports Deadline.

As a result, the “Black Swan” and “Requiem for a Dream” helmer is close to being locked down for the “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” sequel which would reunite him with his “The Fountain” co-star Hugh Jackman.

Fox hasn’t closed a deal with Aronofsky as yet, but has apparently offered him a $5 million paycheck against 5% of the grosses to direct.
