Darren Aronofsky has reportedly signed on to direct “Evil Knievel,” the biopic about the famous stuntman at Sony Pictures, Film 44 and Trigger Street.
Knievel was an American entertainer, daredevil and 1970s icon along with being the world record holder for surviving the most broken bones in a lifetime.
Aronofsky would take over from Peter Berg who signed on in April, but has now reportedly dropped out for unknown reasons.
Channing Tatum remains attached to star in the film which boasts a script which Scott Silver (“The Fighter,” “8 Mile”) has performed a re-write of the original draft by Reid Carolin (“Magic Mike”).
Tatum will also produce alongside Dana Brunetti and Michael De Luca.
