Aronofsky, HBO Team For “MaddAddam” Series

Following on from the success of “Noah,” filmmaker Darren Aronofsky and his Protozoa Pictures have begun adapting a TV series version of Margaret Atwood’s sci-fi novel trilogy “MaddAddam” for HBO.

The story centers on a futuristic world where corporations rule and a ‘waterless flood’ wipes out most of humanity. Aronofsky will executive produce and may direct some episodes.

The MaddAddam trilogy is comprised of three books – 2003’s “Oryx and Crake”, 2009’s “Year of the Flood” and 2013’s “MaddAddam”.
