Arnold Schwarzenegger and his agency reps at CAA are currently shopping to the studios a package which includes the rights to produce a new “Terminator” sequel says 24 Frames.
“Fast Five” director Justin Lin will helm and Robert Cort will produce, though no screenwriter has come on board yet and there’s no storyline to speak of.
Hedge fund Pacificor, who won the rights to the franchise last year, would be part of any new production and would likely demand a significant cut. Rights to the franchise are currently set to revert to original creator James Cameron in 2018.
Should it even go ahead, the film is such a long way off that the other projects the former Governor has been linked to, the drug-themed actioneer “The Last Stand” and the prison-escape movie “The Tomb”, are still set to come first.
