Michael Douglas and Alan Arkin are teaming with “The Big Bang Theory” co-creator Chuck Lorre on the new comedy series “The Kominsky Method” for Netflix.
Douglas would play an actor who, years ago, had a brief fling with success and is now a revered Hollywood acting coach. Arkin will co-star as his friend and agent.
This would be Douglas’ first regular television role since he starred in “The Streets of San Francisco” in the 1970s.
Lorre and Douglas will executive produce with the project setup at Warner Bros. Television. Lorre is also behind the upcoming Kathy Bates-led stoner comedy “Disjointed” debuting later this month on Netflix.
