Did you order that fancy and expensive Batmobile Collector’s Edition version of the upcoming “Batman: Arkham Knight”? If you did, there’s some bad news.
Just days before the game’s release, Warner Brothers has announced that the special edition version is being cancelled due to “unforeseen circumstances that greatly compromised the quality of this extremely limited run of product”.
The centerpiece of this edition was a ‘fully transformable’ statue of the Batmobile. There was also an exclusive ‘New 52 Skin Pack’ DLC which will now be given away to all players for free.
In an e-mail notification to customers who reserved the $200 bundle through GameStop and other retailers, the studio said they were “deeply apologetic for this unfortunate outcome”.
Those who did pre-order that edition need to go to the retail location where they pre-ordered the product where they will receive a full refund of their deposit, or can roll it over to another “Batman: Arkham Knight” edition or product of their choice.
“Batman: Arkham Knight” will debut worldwide on June 23rd for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
